On a aimé : le festival Burning man
Posted on September 26 2014
Every year at the end of August, nearly 70 000 people are found in the Black Rock Desert in Nevada, to participate in this artistic gathering, as crazy as poetic. Burning Man ( "Man burning") began with a simple bonfire in 1986. Larry Harvey, future creator of the event, and some of his friends decide to burn a human effigy wood, while measuring just 3 meters high. Burning Man is now 33 meters and comes with thousands of sculptures that take all fire at the end of the event, for a magical show. Since its inception, the Burning Man gathers for a week both artists and hippies that technocrats from Silicon Valley around common values: free artistic expression, rejection of consumerism, beauty of the structures and respect for the environment. We present today some pictures of the 2014 edition, produced by the New Zealand photographer Trey Ratcliff .
